Beautification Projects

The UDRCC Crew throughout the season does various beautification projects throughout the Upper Delaware Watershed.

Plantings

Plantings are an important part of river restoration projects. Plants and trees help stabilize the river bank and decrease the chances of erosion. Plants and trees also can provide shelter and food for the various species that live in or near the river.

In 2022 the crew planted over 1500 trees in 3 locations.

In 2023 there were over 440 trees planted in 3 locations.


Clean-Ups

The UDRCC Crew gets involved in various clean-ups throughout the season. They were able to help various organizations. They’ve cleared garbage along highways, trails, and other public spaces. Clean-ups keeps the area clean and protects the natural environment and the plethora of species that inhabit it. 

The crew has been busy with clean-ups over the past few years, they have filled over a hundred garbage bags full of trash.


Trail Work

The crew has been able to do trail maintenance every season. They clear the trail of garbage, invasive species and trim the trees and plants on the trail to leave a clear path. 

Throughout several seasons the crew has been able to improve miles of trails.
