NY Congressman Antonio Delgado Announces Delaware River Congressional Caucus

FUDR and our conservation partners organized a press conference in Callicoon, NY earlier this week where NY Congressman Antonio Delgado announced the formation of a Delaware River Watershed Congressional Caucus in Washington DC.

Mr. Delgado will co-chair the caucus alongside PA Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.

The caucus will help organize and prioritize congressional efforts to protect and restore the entire Delaware River and, with Congressman Delgado at the helm, will enhance opportunities to strengthen the federal investment in protecting the Upper Delaware River watershed and revitalizing local economies.

FUDR will be working with Congressman Delgado to secure new federal funding to protect the nationally renowned UDR wild trout fishery, address the spread of invasive species such as Japanese Knotweed, mitigate flooding in our local communities, protect critical infrastructure including roads, bridges and culverts, and enhance river-related recreational opportunities that provide high quality outdoor experiences while boosting local economies.

Thanks to Congressman Delgado for his hard work and dedication to protecting the people and the environment of the Upper Delaware River region!
